"Come hither My Sister and talk with Me.
Come sit with Me alongside the Red Sea.
We'll talk about the Moon, the Sun & the Stars,
We'll share our pain and the left over scars.
I've missed You My Dear,
My Shadow in the Night.
But We had to part ways
and fight Our seperate fights.
Now that I've found You
I'll Welcome You Home...
No longer are You lost
or do You have to roam.
Come hither My Sister and talk with Me.
Apart from One Another We'll never again be. "

The Many Faces of LiLith
There are many stories surrounding LiLith, the first female...
I am going to try and put a few of them in here. She goes by many names,
She holds many myth's and She is severely misunderstood as
many of the myths view Her as demon.
Lilith arrived in my life at a time that I needed empowerment.
I had lost Faith in myself, Faith in Life, Faith in Love...
I had lost Faith...period. LiLith showed me life again,
She showed me how to love myself again, hence
enabeling me to love others again.
Through my personal experience of the many faces of LiLith...
my belief is that She is the furthest thing from a demon...
LiLith is the Angel of my Life, Soul & Spirit.
~*~She is a Blessing~*~
And now...for the many faces of
my Eternal Mother,
LiLith
The LiLith that I know
As I mentioned above, when LiLith entered my life is when I was at an all time low in my life. I had just gotten a divorce from a marriage that beat me down. It was the year 2000 and I had begun a soul searching of self, and in entered LiLith. Why had I never heard of this beautiful creature?....this first creation of God? I felt as though I knew Her though. When I read about Her an energy would race through my body and make me feel alive again! I felt things for Spirituality that I never knew one could feel and when I read Her stories...I felt I was there, inside of them, walking Her Path of loneliness with Her...only with Her, I was no longer alone or lonely. I felt One with Her like I had never felt Oneness before. And this was the beginning of the rest of my Life and the end of my Life as I knew it.
LiLith walked with me and poked and prodded me to pick up my feet and begin walking again. LiLith has led me down an experience of many Path's...making it known that She is in everything and everywhere and that everything is connected. LiLith is without boundary...She see's the beauty in all Colors offered up in this Universe. LiLith IS Love, LiLith IS Compassion, LiLith IS Mother, Daughter, Sister & Lover. LiLith wears many faces...and for this She is condemned by mankind. LiLith only knows how to speak Truth, LiLith speaks this Turth with conviction. LiLith's home is the Mirror...the reflection of Self...this is Her familiar...Her Self.
~*~*~*~

LiLith is the core of me,
She is my Heart & Soul,
She is my Guardian & Spirit.
LiLith with Her scarlet lips
and coal black hair.
LiLith whom coils with the serpents
inside of Her lair.
LiLith who is Mother,
Lover & Mate.
LiLith who only knows Love
that is misunderstood as hate.
LiLith...
the First One...
Whom without...
we could not Create.
Sweet Blessed LiLith...

I LiLith
by Biskit
I Lilith
Who will not lie beneath thee.
By whose leave woudst thou besmirch me
and murder my children with thyne perfidy?
Thou who would cast me out and ask for my life
Because thou wanted a slave and not a wife
Whose law taught thee
To try to take all that I am from me?
I who would walk beside thee
Who would share all that I have
In Equality
And I Lilith
Who will not part with what I am
Asks at the hands of God in the hand of Man
To ask why I who is Goddess born
Should be cast as succubi and demon spawn
Because I take what is freely given
And give myself in dreams unbidden
To show men power of womans song
To know the goddess wise and strong
Why should this threaten thee
and thyne masculine God
If thy God truly has dominion
over sky and sod?
And I Lilith
Who will not lie beneath thee
Would ask
To leave that which is mine to me
And tend to what lies in thyne own hand
And one day thou may understand
The difference that lies
between a woman and a rib
Between what you would take
And what I would give

Lilith is consistently portrayed in many cultures first as a demon, who might have been good or bad, then as a child-killer and temptress; as a woman embodying or representing the devil and often personified by Eden’s serpent. In literary and iconographic representations, she is clearly depicted as symbolizing the "evil" inherent in all women. Yet many contemporary women see in her the embodiment of the Goddess, Great Creatrix, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Goddess of Love and War, designations she shares with her counterparts Inanna, Ishtar, Asherah, Anath and Isis. As a goddess of love, beauty and things erotic she is akin to the Greek Aphrodite and the Roman Venus; in her wildness and thirst for justice she and Bhadra Kali, the Hindu goddess, could be thought of as sisters. The question of how bloodthirsty she may or may not be—and whether the role of avenger is a positive or negative one—remains an open one. There is also the question, which has gone largely unexplored, of the royal or divine status which may be signified by her serpentine crown and the rings she holds, usually recognized as symbolizing Sumerian royal authority. "She also holds the ring and rod of power. Thus she joins the first rank of gods" (Johnson, 1988).

According to Jewish folklore, Lilith was the first wife of Adam. She was banished from the Garden of Eden when she refused to make herself subservient to Adam (specifically, she refused to get into the missionary position with him during sex). When she was cast out, she was made into a demon figure, and Adam was given a second wife, Eve, who was fashioned from his rib to ensure her obedience to her man.
******
Some say that God created man and woman in His own image on the Sixth Day, giving them charge over the world; but that Eve did not yet exist. Now, God had set Adam to name every beast, bird and other living thing. When they passed before him in pairs, male and female, Adam-being already like a twenty-year-old man-felt jealous of their loves, and though he tried coupling with each female in turn, found no satisfaction in the act. He therefore cried: 'Every creature but I has a proper matel', and prayed God would remedy this injustice.
******
God then formed Lilith, the first woman, just as He had formed Adam, except that He used filth and sediment instead of pure dust. From Adam's union with this demoness, and with another like her named Naamah, Tubal Cain's sister, sprang Asmodeus and innumerable demons that still plague mankind. Many generations later, Lilith and Naamah came to Solomon's judgement seat, disguised as harlots of Jerusalem'.
******
Adam and Lilith never found peace together; for when he wished to lie with her, she took offence at the recumbent posture he demanded. 'Why must I lie beneath you?' she asked. 'I also was made from dust, and am therefore your equal.' Because Adam tried to compel her obedience by force, Lilith, in a rage, uttered the magic name of God, rose into the air and left him.
******
Adam complained to God: 'I have been deserted by my helpmeet' God at once sent the angels Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof to fetch Lilith back. They found her beside the Red Sea, a region abounding in lascivious demons, to whom she bore lilim at the rate of more than one hundred a day. 'Return to Adam without delay,' the angels said, `or we will drown you!' Lilith asked: `How can I return to Adam and live like an honest housewife, after my stay beside the Red Sea?? 'It will be death to refuse!' they answered. `How can I die,' Lilith asked again, `when God has ordered me to take charge of all newborn children: boys up to the eighth day of life, that of circumcision; girls up to the twentieth day. None the less, if ever I see your three names or likenesses displayed in an amulet above a newborn child, I promise to spare it.' To this they agreed; but God punished Lilith by making one hundred of her demon children perish daily.
******
Some say that Lilith ruled as queen in Zmargad, and again in Sheba; and was the demoness who destroyed job's sons. Yet she escaped the curse of death which overtook Adam, since they had parted long before the Fall. Lilith seduces dreaming men, any one of whom, sleeping alone, may become her victim.
